SLC has been appointed by Westway Trust to provide advice and manage the procurement of a not-for-profit operator for its Sport and Fitness facilities. The Trust currently operates in a number of areas within the community as part of its charitable remit to provide facilities, services and opportunities for its community, and sees this as an opportunity to refocus on some of the other core aspects of its portfolio and bring further innovation to its delivery of Sport and Fitness.
David Rushton, Associate Director of SLC, who is leading the project commented: ‘This is an extremely important project for the local community as the Trust currently provides affordable, successful and essential sport and leisure opportunities. Westway’s facilities are truly unique in that they offer nationally recognised facilities for sports such as climbing and tennis built under and around the A40 flyover. We are looking forward to securing a partner who shares the same values as the Trust whilst maintaining high quality facilities.’
