Recent months have seen SLC add a number of new projects and clients to our current portfolio, and the team is looking forward to supporting a variety of strategy, feasibility and procurement projects over the summer and into 2018.
Procurements have been secured across the whole length of the country from Barrow in Furness on the North-West coast to Crawley in the South East, and early procurement strategy support is being provided to a number of authorities who are planning to retender the leisure services contract or go out to market for the first time.
Feasibility support and advice relating to the future strategic development and retention of facilities is also being provided to Councils through new project appointments. This includes advising on the feasibility of specific water-based and outdoor pitch facilities and an options appraisals on the future leisure provision across Waverley Borough Council in Surrey.
SLC is also providing support to new clients from the private, third and education sectors including a large multi-academy trust on the development of its dual-use sports facilities, a Foundation running nationwide swimming events to raise money for a number of worthy causes and a property group developing community sport and leisure facilities in South West London.
SLC will also be looking to expand the team in the coming months to increase our capacity to service new and existing client requirements, and further expand our areas of expertise in the sector.
