East Grinstead Sports Club is one of the highest profile sports clubs in Sussex featuring National Hockey Men’s and Ladies Teams and a number of other sports.
Its management contract was coming up for renewal and the club was seeking advice on how to either extend or retender the management contract linked to further improving the overall sustainability of the Club.
SLC which is Sussex based, provided pro bono support for the Club throughout the whole process including provision of strategic advice, procurement documentation, sourcing potential operators and assisting the club in establishing its future lifecycle costs.
Ensuring A Sustainable Future
The above support contributed to the Club selecting Wave Leisure Limited on 29 September 2017 to operate its facilities for the next ten years on a full repairing lease. SLC also supported the club in the handover from Freedom Leisure the previous operator.
